Swat/Matta (27-04-2025): A grand gathering was held in Tehsil Matta, Swat, as part of the Grand Joining Program, where the Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan, and SAFRON, Engineer Amir Muqam, delivered an enthusiastic speech. Speaking at the public gathering, Federal Minister and Provincial President of PML-N, Amir Muqam, paid tribute to the local leadership for organizing a gathering attended by thousands. He congratulated the dozens of families who joined the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and warmly welcomed them into the party.

In his speech, Amir Muqam said that the wave of change starting from Matta Swat will, insha’Allah, spread across the entire province, bringing a revolution. He highlighted the establishment of gas pipelines and grid stations in Swat as achievements of the Pakistan Muslim League-N. He also pointed out that the imposition of Section Four for the establishment of a grid station in Matta was canceled by a former Chief Minister.

He said that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and former FATA have always played a vanguard role in Pakistan’s defense and will continue to stand at the forefront for their homeland’s protection. Amir Muqam strongly condemned India for making accusations against Pakistan without investigation or inquiry and asserted that the status of Kashmir altered on August 5, 2019, was never accepted and will never be accepted.

He called India’s statement about terminating the Indus Waters Treaty foolish, emphasizing that it is an international agreement that cannot be unilaterally annulled. He reiterated that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa stand shoulder to shoulder with their armed forces. Amir Muqam reminded that those who conducted the nuclear tests on May 28 are still present today, and Pakistan’s army remains prepared to respond just as they did then.

He expressed disappointment over the global silence regarding the arrest of Kulbhushan Yadav and stated that India is involved in terrorism not only in Pakistan but across the world. Amir Muqam said there is an attempt to pressure Pakistan’s government and people to withdraw their support for Kashmir, but stressed that Pakistan stood with Kashmiris yesterday, stands today, and will continue to stand with them tomorrow.

He stated that Nawaz Sharif’s party still governs Pakistan and that they are ready to give a robust response to every threat and conspiracy by India. Amir Muqam criticized PTI’s agenda, calling it one of national destruction, and said that the public now realizes who is working for Pakistan’s development and who has dragged it toward ruin. He noted that the youth of the province have also recognized the reality of those who ruled for twelve years and are now turning towards PML-N.

He added that under Shehbaz Sharif’s leadership, Pakistan’s previously bankrupt economy is back on the path of development within a year, with inflation dropping from 40% to 1.5%. Amir Muqam emphasized that PML-N leadership has always prioritized national interest over politics. He noted that despite multiple attacks on him, he remained steadfast in the field and consistently stood by the oppressed. He vowed that he has always stood by the people during hardships—whether terrorism, floods, or earthquakes—and will continue to do so in the future.

Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Program, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, also addressed the gathering, praising Engineer Amir Muqam’s leadership and describing him as a symbol of PML-N’s strength and stability in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Rana Mashhood asserted that Pakistan’s defense is invincible and credited former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for making Pakistan a nuclear power, thereby ensuring the country’s sovereignty and security.

He referenced the foresight of the late Dr. Israr Ahmad, who had predicted long ago that Imran Khan was brought forward under a special agenda. Highlighting the current regional situation, Rana Mashhood mentioned the discriminatory treatment of minorities in India and stated that today, Pakistanis understand the value and importance of their homeland more than ever.

Other notable personalities who addressed the event included Provincial Coordinator of the Prime Minister’s Youth Program Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Babar Saleem Khan, former provincial assembly candidate and Divisional Coordinator of the Prime Minister’s Youth Program Azmat Ali Khan, President of PML-N Swat Division and former provincial minister Wajid Ali Khan, former provincial minister and General Secretary Swat Division Muhammad Ali Shah, and President of Upper Swat District Qamos Khan.
