Rawalpindi Saddar: Anti-Encroachment Squad Launches Unprecedented Operations; Dozens of Trucks Seized, Bank Road, Haider Road, Adamjee Road, and Kashmir Road Declared No-Go Areas for Encroachers
Rawalpindi: The Anti-Encroachment Squad of Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) Saddar has launched an intensive and unprecedented crackdown, conducting four daily operations — morning, afternoon, evening, and late night — over the past month. As a result, dozens of truckloads of encroached goods have been seized, and key commercial hubs including Bank Road, Haider Road, Adamjee Road, Kashmir Road, and Canning Road have been declared no-go zones for encroachment mafias.
On the special directives of Cantonment Executive Officer (CEO) Syed Irfan Rizvi and Arshad Khan Additional CEO, the Anti-Encroachment Squad under the leadership of Raja Nadeem, established a dedicated field office at Bank Road Chowk. From this location, operations are being monitored live until 2:00 AM every night, ensuring a swift and coordinated response to any new encroachments.
According to official figures, dozens of trucks filled with seized encroached goods have been removed from Saddar’s markets over the last month. Permanent encroachments have been completely eradicated across the Saddar area, while temporary encroachments are being dealt with firmly and consistently through daily operations.
Speaking to the media, Raja Nadeem, head of the Saddar Anti-Encroachment Squad, emphasized that all major markets in Saddar have been cleared and declared inaccessible to encroachers. “Any attempt at new encroachments is immediately responded to by our teams. Our mission is to keep public pathways clear, ensure smooth pedestrian flow, and facilitate businesses and shoppers alike,” he stated.
Local traders have been officially warned to ensure that no form of obstruction or temporary encroachment is placed in front of their shops. Non-compliance will result in strict legal action.
The efforts of the Saddar Anti-Encroachment Squad have received widespread appreciation from citizens, traders, and international visitors alike. Many have hailed the initiative as a major step towards beautifying the city, improving traffic flow, and creating a more accessible and pleasant shopping environment in Rawalpindi Saddar.
