QUETTA: The mourning procession was taken out marking 7th Muharramul Haram amid tough security measures in the provincial metropolis on Thursday.
The procession started from the Imambargah Kalan, located on Prince road, at around 02:30 PM and terminated at the Imambargah Nasirul Aza, located on Prince Road the same evening.
The strict security arrangements were made to avert any untoward incident on the occasion with all shops and business concerns enroute the procession sealed and roads and lanes leading to it were blocked by creating hurdles and parking heavy vehicles.
The SSP Operations told that over 3,000 personnels of different law enforcement agencies including police and para military force were deployed in the metropolis especially on the route and around of the procession.
The Pak army’s platoons and quick response force also remain stand-by during the procession of 7th Muharram
