NASIRABAD, July 18: Farmers, political activists and local residents staged a protest rally and sit-in at Dera Murad Jamali against the continued shortage of irrigation water in the Pat Feeder Canal.
Led by National Party Nasirabad President Jagan Khan Mughairi, the protesters demanded immediate restoration of irrigation supplies, saying the water shortage had affected standing crops across thousands of acres and caused significant losses to farmers.
The demonstrators urged the Balochistan government and the irrigation authorities to ensure a fair and uninterrupted supply of irrigation water, improve transparency in water distribution, and take effective measures to address the farmers’ concerns.s
