Road Safety Awareness Campaign Launched in Lahore, CTO Calls for Strict Compliance with Traffic Laws

LAHORE, July 18: Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore Abdul Rahim Shirazi has called for strict compliance with traffic regulations and responsible driving practices, saying public awareness is essential to reducing road accidents and improving road safety across the country.
Addressing a Road Safety Awareness Campaign organized by the Alkhidmat Foundation, the CTO said adherence to traffic laws, responsible road behaviour and effective enforcement are key pillars of a safer transport system.
The event was attended by senior police officers, representatives of civil society and members of the public. Abdul Rahim Shirazi said road safety awareness initiatives play an important role in educating motorists and pedestrians, promoting disciplined driving habits and preventing avoidable traffic accidents.
He noted that the Lahore Traffic Police, in collaboration with partner organizations, continues to implement awareness campaigns aimed at strengthening traffic discipline and encouraging safe road use.
The campaign focused on educating citizens about traffic safety rules, defensive driving practices and responsible road behaviour as part of ongoing efforts to build a safer and more secure transport environment.
