Governor of Balochistan Jafar Khan Mandokhail has directed the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) to ensure the uninterrupted supply of gas to the residents of Quetta with full pressure, particularly during the harsh winter season.

Chairing a detailed briefing at the Governor House, Governor Mandokhail instructed the company to take immediate and practical measures to resolve all public complaints related to gas supply. He emphasized that gas supply hours should be extended beyond the current 10 p.m. shutdown to ensure greater relief for consumers.

The Governor further ordered strict legal action against individuals and entities involved in installing or selling illegal gas compressors in the market.

During the meeting, SSGC General Manager Muhammad Raheel Malik briefed the Governor about the company’s performance and recent initiatives. Chief Manager Billing Muhammad Imran Azam and Hafiz Muhammad Yousuf were also present.

Governor Mandokhail highlighted that non-payment of gas bills negatively affects the company’s performance and ultimately increases public hardship. He urged consumers to cooperate with the government by ensuring timely payment of outstanding bills, noting that gas restrictions in certain areas often impact even the paying consumers.

He reiterated his commitment to improving service delivery so that citizens of Quetta can experience better living conditions through a stable and reliable gas supply network.
