QUETTA, Nov 30 — The Regional Meteorological Center has forecast continued cold and dry weather across most districts of Balochistan, with temperatures in several northern and north-western regions expected to drop below freezing during the early morning and late-night hours.
According to the Met Office, districts including Quetta, Kalat, Pishin, Mastung, Nushki, Qila Abdullah, and Qila Saifullah are likely to remain under intense cold conditions as winter intensifies. On Sunday, much of the province experienced dry and sharply cold weather, with northern districts recording severe nighttime temperatures.
The cold wave is expected to persist into Monday, with the same regions likely to remain below the freezing point. The lowest temperature recorded during the last 24 hours was –6°C in Kalat, marking one of the coldest nights of the season.
Weather officials advised residents to take precautions during the harsh morning and evening hours and noted that no significant change is expected in the coming days.
