Naseerabad, January 16, 2026:
For the first time in district history, the Naseerabad district administration, in collaboration with the Minority Affairs Department, organized an open katcheri to hear and address issues faced by minority communities. The event was held at the Hindu Community Hall and was attended by members of Hindu, Christian, and Oad communities.
Parliamentary Secretary for Minority Affairs Sanjay Kumar Panjwani attended as chief guest, while Deputy Commissioner Naseerabad Captain (R) Zulfiqar Ali Karrar, Assistant Commissioner Bahadur Khan Khosa, and other officials were also present. Community representatives raised concerns related to law and order, drinking water, drainage, low gas pressure, cremation grounds, church buildings, and civic facilities.
Addressing the gathering, officials assured participants that the government was committed to resolving minority issues. The deputy commissioner issued on-the-spot directives for immediate redressal of several complaints and said minority communities would not be left unattended.
