Quetta: Acting on directives from Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, Secretary Communications and Works, Babar Khan, reviewed the progress of the Chaman Phatak to Koila Phattak road project, stressing the need for accelerated execution and adherence to high-quality standards. The meeting was attended by Chief Engineer Federal Projects Dr. Sajjad Baloch, Chief Engineer E&M Works Division Mehr Allah Jogezai, Executive Engineer E&M Works Division Muhammad Anwar, and other senior officials.
During the briefing, Executive Engineer Muhammad Anwar provided detailed updates on the project’s progress. Secretary Babar Khan directed authorities to expedite all work, aiming to complete the road within record time, in line with the Chief Minister’s developmental priorities.
He emphasized that construction must meet the highest quality standards, leaving no room for negligence, and underlined that the efficiency of the Communications and Works Department is vital for provincial development and public welfare. “Finishing this project ahead of schedule will significantly improve traffic flow in Quetta’s densely populated areas,” he added.
Reaffirming the Chief Minister’s focus on citizen-centric governance, Secretary Babar Khan called on the department to remain committed to timely completion, ensuring the project delivers tangible benefits to the people of Quetta.
