Mehar:
More than 800 students from schools across Mehar Taluka participated in a large-scale self-assessment test organized by VIP High School Mehar, aimed at evaluating academic performance and preparing students for competitive examinations.
The test, conducted for students from classes three to ten, was supervised by noted educationist Akhund Abdullah Lakir and held across multiple examination blocks with separate invigilators to ensure transparency. Officials from the education department, teachers, civil society members and religious scholars attended the event.
Among the participants were District Education Officer Secondary Khadija Mumtaz Phul, Professor Muhammad Tahir Lakir of Aror University Sukkur, TEO Zafar Ali Ghorar, medical professionals, lawyers and community leaders.
Speakers praised the initiative, noting that students in rural areas often lack exposure to standardized testing environments. They said the exercise would help students assess their strengths and weaknesses ahead of exams conducted by institutions such as IBA, NTS, and public universities.
Organizers said similar assessment programs would continue in the future to support academic development in the region.
