Quetta — Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfaraz Bugti chaired a high-level meeting at the Chief Minister Secretariat to review the progress and operational readiness of trauma centers across the province. The meeting was attended by Provincial Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakad, Chief Secretary Shakil Qadir Khan, Health Secretary Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Panizai, Finance Secretary Lal Jan Jaffar, Principal Secretary to CM Imran Zarkoon, Communications and Works Secretary Babar Khan, and Managing Director Trauma Center Arbab Kamran Kasi, among other officials.
During the session, the Health Secretary briefed the Chief Minister on the newly constructed trauma center at Quetta Spinny. The CM directed the immediate activation of the new facility and stressed that staff recruitment must strictly follow merit-based procedures. Officials presented details regarding increased capacity, expanded clinical networks, and enhanced emergency treatment capabilities at the new center. The meeting also covered required human resources and budget allocations for the trauma facilities.
Addressing the meeting, Chief Minister Bugti emphasized that public service is the top priority of the provincial government. He stated that the activation of the new trauma center will ensure timely and high-quality medical care for citizens. The CM also instructed that the Sheikh Zayed Hospital trauma center be completed promptly and underscored the need for full operational readiness of all trauma centers to guarantee rapid emergency response throughout Balochistan.
