CM KP Reaffirms Solidarity With Kashmiris

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Afridi on Wednesday reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the people of Kashmir, stating that the right to self-determination is a fundamental and internationally recognized right that cannot be suppressed through force.
In his message on Kashmir Solidarity Day, the chief minister said that since 1947, Kashmiris have endured prolonged Indian repression, military siege, and grave human rights violations. He termed extrajudicial killings and enforced disappearances in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir as blatant violations of international law.
Sohail Afridi said the government and people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa stand shoulder to shoulder with their Kashmiri brethren on every forum. He urged the United Nations to take practical steps to ensure the implementation of its resolutions on Kashmir.
The chief minister emphasized that lasting peace in the region is directly linked to a just and peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute.
