CHAMAN (July 18): Law enforcement agencies and the district administration have accelerated operations against undocumented foreign nationals in Chaman following the expiry of the federal government’s deadline for illegal immigrants to leave Pakistan.
Officials said security measures have been significantly strengthened throughout the district, with additional checkpoints established along key entry and exit points, major highways and other sensitive locations to ensure effective monitoring and enforcement.
As part of the ongoing campaign, police and administrative authorities have launched extensive search and document verification operations to identify individuals residing in the area without valid legal documentation.
According to the district administration, undocumented Afghan nationals found living illegally are being taken into custody before being repatriated to Afghanistan through the Bab-e-Dosti border crossing after the completion of all required legal procedures.
Authorities said the drive is being conducted in line with the federal government’s policy and relevant legal framework, with the aim of facilitating the return of undocumented foreign nationals, preserving law and order and enhancing security along the border region.
The district administration has also urged residents to extend full cooperation to law enforcement agencies and immediately report any suspicious or unlawful activities to the concerned authorities to support efforts aimed at maintaining public safety and security.
