ATF Constable Martyred in Ziarat Terrorist Attack Buried with Full State Honors in Loralai

LORALAI (July 18): Funeral prayers for Anti-Terrorist Force (ATF) Constable Shaheed Jandad Khan Shabozai, who embraced martyrdom in the recent terrorist attack in Ziarat, were offered with full state honors in Loralai on Saturday amid a large gathering of officials, tribal elders and local residents.
Hundreds of mourners attended the funeral, including Commissioner Loralai Division Wali Muhammad Bareech, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Loralai Dr Fahad Ahmed, Assistant Commissioner Nadeem Akram, Assistant Commissioner Mukhtiar, senior civil and military officers, political and social figures, representatives of the business community and members of the public.
A police contingent presented a guard of honour to the fallen officer in recognition of his sacrifice, while senior civil and military officials laid floral wreaths on his coffin and offered prayers for the departed soul.
Special prayers were held for the elevation of the martyr’s rank, strength and patience for his bereaved family, and for enduring peace and stability in the country.
Addressing the gathering, officials paid glowing tribute to the country’s martyrs, describing their sacrifices as a source of pride for the nation. They said Shaheed Jandad Khan Shabozai had demonstrated exceptional courage, patriotism and commitment by laying down his life while performing his duty to safeguard the people and the state.
The civil and military leadership reaffirmed their resolve to continue operations against terrorist groups, their facilitators and all anti-state elements with unwavering determination, asserting that such forces would never be allowed to achieve their objectives.
They further emphasized that law enforcement agencies remained fully committed to protecting the lives and property of citizens, preserving public order and eradicating terrorism from Balochistan.
Officials noted that incidents such as the Ziarat attack would only strengthen the nation’s collective resolve to combat terrorism, adding that every attempt to disrupt peace and stability in Balochistan and other parts of the country would be met with a firm response.
Participants also honored the sacrifices of the country’s martyrs and reaffirmed their solidarity with the armed forces and law enforcement agencies, expressing confidence that the sacrifices rendered in defence of the nation would always be remembered and would never go in vain.
