Hyderabad, December 29, 2025: Residents of Nasim Nagar and Qasimabad have raised concerns over the growing illegal drug trade and gambling dens in their neighborhoods. Locals report open sales of hashish, heroin, ice, and other narcotics, along with active gambling establishments operating without fear of law enforcement.
Sources allege that influential individuals are behind the network, enabling drug dealers and gambling operators to operate with impunity. This unchecked activity is negatively affecting public safety, with youth increasingly exposed to substance abuse and social decay.
Local residents criticized police inaction despite repeated complaints and demanded immediate intervention from senior authorities, including the IG Sindh and SSP Hyderabad. Community members stressed the need for strict enforcement to dismantle criminal networks, remove illegal gambling dens, and safeguard the younger generation from the harmful effects of drugs and vice. Authorities were urged to implement targeted operations to restore law, order, and safety in the affected areas.
