Swabi Press Club Delegation Meets DPO to Strengthen Working Relations

Swabi: Office bearers and members of the Swabi Press Club (Registered) met with District Police Officer (DPO) Swabi, Muhammad Azhar, at his office to discuss enhancing cooperation between the press and police and formulating a joint strategy for crime prevention.

Led by Swabi Press Club President Jaleel Ahmed Khan, the delegation included senior office bearers such as Senior Vice President Shaukat Ali Anjum, Finance Secretary Muhammad Iqbal, Vice President Muhammad Ayub Khan, Deputy General Secretary Muhammad Adil, Joint Secretary Muhammad Arif Shah, and members Muhammad Shoaib, Babu Lajbar Khan, and Muhammad Siyar Baba. Office-bearer of Abaseen Union of Journalists, Tilaawat Shah, was also present. The meeting was attended by PRO to DPO Swabi, Liaqat Ali Yousafzai.

During the meeting, press club members introduced themselves to the DPO, and the president presented written recommendations regarding challenges faced by journalists in the district. The discussions aimed at fostering a better understanding and a strong working relationship between Swabi Police and the press club.

DPO Muhammad Azhar assured full cooperation with journalists and pledged to take practical steps to resolve their issues. He urged the media to support the police in eradicating crime by maintaining journalistic integrity. He emphasized that he sought fair and unbiased coverage of police activities, discouraging any false portrayals.

The DPO highlighted ongoing revolutionary measures for maintaining law and order in Swabi and called on the Swabi Press Club to play its role in ensuring a crime-free society.
