Over 400,000 children to be vaccinated: CS inaugurates big catch-up vaccination campaign in Balochistan

QUETTA: The Chief Secretary Balochistan, Shakeel Qadir Khan inaugurated the second phase of big catch-up vaccination campaign in the province on Monday.
More than 400,000 children would be vaccinated against 12 fatal diseases all over the province during the 12-day vaccination campaign.
While speaking to the media persons on launch of the big catch-up campaign, the Chief Secretary said that the big catch-up campaign has been launched from today (Monday).
He said that the provincial government and health department are determined to make the vaccination campaign successful. In this regard, more than 1500 vaccination teams have been formed, which would vaccinate the children against the fatal diseases at the health establishments, community outreach and mobile vaccination units.
He said that the provincial government would take every possible measures for effective implementation on the campaign.
He also said that all the concerned departments would play their wholehearted role in the public service.
He stressed that the parents, community leaders and religious and social leaders should wholeheartedly cooperate in the campaign so that no child is deprived of the vaccination.
He particularly appealed to the parents to get their children vaccinated at the nearby vaccination points.
He said that this campaign would prove to be an important milestone for the safe and healthy future of children.
