RTA Quetta Seizes Illegal Rickshaws and Pickup Vans in Major Transport Crackdown
19 vehicles fined; 6 rickshaws and 11 Suzuki pickups impounded for permit violations under Motor Vehicle Ordinance.

Following Commissioner and RTA Chairman Shahzaib Khan Kakar’s instructions, operations against illegal rickshaws and pickup vans continued across the city. Supervised by RTA Secretary Ali Durrani, DSP Traffic Sariab Circle Yawar Abbas and SHO Wali Achakzai, the joint RTA-Traffic Police team took action at Purana Adda Chowrangi and Satellite Town.
Six rickshaws operating without permits were impounded under Section 115 of the Motor Vehicle Ordinance, and 11 Suzuki pickups were seized for lacking route permits. Nineteen vehicles were also ticketed for traffic violations. RTA officials warned that no leniency will be shown to unauthorized vehicles and all operators must possess valid permits to ply routes legally.
