Quetta: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F (JUI-F) senior leader Hafiz Hammadullah reiterated the party’s longstanding demand for new elections and stressed the need for a consolidated strategy against the government. Speaking to a private TV channel, he said the public has lost confidence in the government formed on February 8, highlighting conflicting statements from national leaders that create political uncertainty.
Hafiz Hammadullah emphasized that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) should be allowed democratic space to hold rallies and protests, urging the opposition to maintain unity to tackle the country’s political challenges. He also supported meetings with PTI’s founder, drawing parallels with past meetings between political leaders and jailed officials, noting there is no impropriety.
He added that collective action is essential to navigate the nation out of the current political deadlock. The JUI-F leader called for a clear strategy to pressure the government and stressed that divisions within the opposition will benefit no one. Hafiz Hammadullah concluded that a united opposition is crucial for restoring democratic processes and ensuring a fair political landscape in Pakistan
