Motorway Police 2025 Report Highlights Road Safety, Public Service Gains

The National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) has released its Performance Report 2025, outlining significant achievements in road safety enforcement, emergency response, and public service delivery. According to the report, over 18,000 travelers received timely emergency and medical assistance, while more than 5.4 million citizens were guided through the toll-free helpline 130.
During the year, NHMP issued 18,500 driving licenses, 103 CE-category licenses, and 1,480 international driving permits. To promote safe driving awareness, 2,674 road safety programs were conducted nationwide. The force also recovered lost valuables including gold jewelry, 186 mobile phones, wallets, and other items, returning them to rightful owners.
Law enforcement efforts led to the recovery of 48 stolen and 17 non-custom-paid vehicles, safe reunification of 169 missing children, and arrest of 70 dangerous criminals. Large quantities of illegal weapons, narcotics, alcohol, and smuggled goods were seized. Over 13.2 million challans were issued, with FIRs registered against more than 11,000 drivers for serious violations. NHMP reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring safe, dignified, and lawful travel across Pakistan.
